MY oilcloth handbags at the new Portobello Road
Do you ever walk into a store and say to yourself, “I want to live in this store!”
You image your bedroom over there, making your coffee on that table in the corner and wearing that dress tomorrow morning with those boots perched on the shelf. Well, that is how we, Michele and Yvette, aka the M and Y in MY, feel about Portobello Road in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
Only three short miles from our studio, a trip there is a real treat! Portobello Road carries the MY by Michele & Yvette collection, so let’s just say we venture there for business, because the MY girls are always working! Of course, we almost never walk out without a purchase. (We’ve tried to, but it never happens!) The owners, Marina Kalb and Kristina Lyons are the queens of style in the Boston area and beyond. They leave a “cool vibe” where every they go and they have done the most amazing job in their newly relocated 2- level store.
Beautiful clothing, elegantly-edgy home furnishings and unbelievable flower design by Andrea Halliday’s company, Table and Tulip fill their exciting new space. Of course accessories to die for! Did we mention they carry MY bags? Our new patterns, Limeade, Sapphire and Bon Bon are surrounded by, stained glass windows converted into mirrors, the funkiest of cowboy boots and mercury glass candle holders. All must sees, must haves.
