We are finally getting back to normal after 5 days of non-stop talking about our inspiring oilcloth totes and handbags at the New York International Gift Fair. The next time someone asks "What's new?" We'll probably blurt out, "The MY zip wallet, available in September, in 7 luscious colors including our most popular, Chocolate Filigree!" Of course, the person who asks will probably be referring to something else entirely and we'll come off as a little bit psycho, but such is the business of oilcloth!
The mood at the show was upbeat. It seems that the economic black cloud is starting to lift and stores are gearing up for the holiday season. The MY Flat Tote was as big hit, as well as the MY Envelope and the MY Wide Tote. Buyers were flying by at warp speed but stopped in their tracks when they caught a glimpse of our patterns. They were sold once they touched our bags and said "Ooooooh" having just experienced the softest fabric ever to repel a raindrop - Feeling is believing!
Our throats are parched but we are jazzed and as usual have the longest to do list on the planet. First thing on the list was to start a blog. Check.
